If your thinking of coming to my house in a car please be bloody careful. I dont want you to crash and force me to sit in an hour of traffic. Again.

Not that its happened 2 days in a row now.

(watching the lorry drive ever so slowly into a coach was funny while in the que of cars today though - it was like a total slow motion accident thing cos the lorry was doing 1 mph or summin)

I've always considered myself an animal lover. Its been drilled into me as I grew up cos my mum is.

Today I took mrs 13twelve's dog, Jake, for a walk again as again I was waiting for my car to be fixed. Though I'm not really a dog person (they're big, smelly, loud, annoying) I dont mind Jake as hes quite cute in the way that he cant turn left and his long fur bounces around as he bounds about places.

Now walking dogs is a good way to meet random people and exhange random info. Other dog walkers, random walkers and cyclists usually say hello, then you ask about each others dogs etc. and what not.

After walking for around 1 and half hours I bumps into a cylist on the canal paths. He pulls up and says to Jake "hello boy, lets have a look at you". Nowt unusual there yet.

Then he proceeds to tell me that I should trim the hair around his eyes cos "in fairness he needs to able to see" not once, not twice, not even three or four times. But five times.

I dont consider myself a patient person. Five times the same thing wouldnt respond to anything I said stupid loop he was on totally pushed my patience. And the dog can see just bloody fine.

So I proceeded to tell the man how we take turns at beating the dog with a belt, then we kick it and about how we load his food with caffine and alcohol and how I later planned to drown it in the canal. I finished with the simple "cock" said in that "fuck off and mind your own business you cock" way and continued on my walk with Jake.

Jake loved his walk and I did find out I can run for longer than he can, but he can run faster. I twisted my ankle which slowed things down though.

Some people eh?

After tucking into my Frosties for breakfast today I decided to give the free grand prix game that came with it a whirl.

After seeing the telly adverts with Tony the Tiger racing around and presuming that any game boxed with Frosties would be aimed at kids and so be easy.

Well.

As this veteran of many a racing game and many a F1 game can tell you; its bloody not.

What a tough freakin game to box with frosties. Even with anti spin, abs and traction control turned on the cars are a nightmare to drive.

Even that Sega F355 Challenge is an easier game - I kid you not!

Talk about slow and old cans of worms.

Got a letter his morning, dated Sept 11th. With reference to the car crash I had in March 2001.

It starts: "We have now contacted Ford Insure..."

Only now they choose to contact Ford Insure 2 and half years after the accident?!

One of the cars I hit must have been a member either directly or through their insurance company to Centrus which appear to be an advanced Ambulance Chasers Direct sorta company. They seem to be a company that handles giving you a courtesy car and paying the not-at-fault drivers money for other insured losses from the at-fault (ie. me) partys insurance.

Is it possible that the guy whos car I hit has been without his car for 2 and half years due to the incompetancy of this company?

So who was my insurance company back then? Oh thats right, Ford Insure. haha

Perhaps I can sue for compensation due to the mental anguish seeing this letter has caused..
(gonna phone them now)

Well the direct phone line goes to someones voice mail inbox, the number on the letter for the offices in salford comes back with "the number you have dialled is incorrect" and the number listed on the website kindly tells me their shut but their opening hours are 8 till 8 Mon to Fri and 8 till 6 on Sat.

And its 4:40. How much confidence do I have in this company?

On a much lighter note; I now know where I've been going wrong with the Polo.

Not enough B&Q it seems.

Just been reading the MeFi thread from 9/11 and sitting quietly remembering the madness of the day.

Some guy, Doug posted "This is going to be a big turning point in the history and character of this country, I think."

How right you where.

Theres clearly lots of shock, outrage and a general feeling of "what next?" but some people, like Elvissinatra's friend Jeff can at least see why people could see America as some what less that perfect.

For me, polictics, religion and all that shit are a waste of time. I would rather not have to ever think about any of them but events like 9/11 and the subsequant war on terror which all "intelligent" people are supposed to belive was about oil 'cause they aint pulling that wool over our eyes, leaves me no choice but to now and then be reminded that politics and religion might one day affect me.

(Sarcasm in that last para intended - "intelligent" people are just as affected by properganda as everyone else, only their choice of source of properganda varies. Its all kinda irrelvant what any of it was about, it just shouldnt happen. I just dont have faith in the human species that it is capable of anything else but shitty things like these)

Asda claim to be voted the lowest price supermarket for the 6th year running.

You have to wonder by whom and who else was going for the award.

We all know that Sainsburys is the most expensive and then comes Tesco. I bet you then put Asda next.

And we all know that Aldi and Netto are the cheapest supermarkets. Then you have Kwik Save, Safeway and Morrisons.

So my guess is a bunch of Asda, or now Walmart execs sat together and had a decision between Asda and Asda to win the prestigious "lowest price supermarket" award, once again.

Well done Asda.
